発送人は「シックス・アパート」を名乗る。 ネット検索したらブログで用いられるCMS製品で「Movable Type（ムーバブル・タイプ）」の開発元ということらしい。
俺は無料レンタルブログ利用者であり、今更、有料のCMS製品を勧められるような覚えは無い。
そんな事を思っていたら、以下の記事を発見した。曰く「最新バージョンのMovable Type 7発売」との事。

※Six Apart（シックス・アパート）の公式サイト 但し、当該メールがフィッシュングでな保証は無い。思い当たるとすれば、以前ホームページの開設を思いつき、サーバーを無料レンタルした際に当該Gmailアドレスを用いた。 その伝手でアドレスが知られ、この度のダイレクトメールとなったのだろうか。
そんな事を思っていたら、以下の記事を発見した。曰く「最新バージョンのMovable Type 7発売」との事。
「Movable Type 7」提供開始 - INTERNET Watch自力でホームページを開設していた頃は無料版のMovable Typeを利用した事もあるが、今なら「WordPress」だろう。シックス・アパートはブログサービスのTypePadにも関連がある模様也。
本日また到着した。※Movable Type 7 が遂にリリース！ クラウド版も提供開始【Six Apart ニュースレター No.311】関連過去記事:じゃらんnetの不審メール / FirefoxからDM有り / このメールはヤバイ / ここからも不審メール?! /「配信停止手続き」というURLが記載されているが、これがフィッシュング詐欺だった場合は思う壺に嵌まる。ということで、当該メール発信者はGmailのブロックリストに入れた。

無料のエキサイトメールの存在も知りませんでした。
私の過去の経験では、メールサーバの構築もさることながら、保守も大変なコストがかかります。
Gmailのように、Googleが横展開するツールのような位置づけであれば、投資しても回収できると思いますが、エキサイトでは、そのようなビジネスモデルを持っていないので、維持は苦しいでしょうね。
